• I’ve spread the addiction

When I got my BlackBerry Curve (8320) for Christmas I became addicted to it. It’s the best phone I’ve ever owned and I’ve been telling everyone that will listen how much I love it. Well, my brother wanted to get his own cell phone (he’s been using his work phone) and he must have remembered me gushing over my Curve because he decided on a 8320 for himself. He’s loving it so far, other than the free Mac sync software, PocketMac, which frankly sucks. I’m going to hook him up with a copy of MissingSync.

Oh, and BlackBerry Messanger rocks. I know it’s just IM for BB snobs but I still like it.

    • YES!!!!!! You have spread the addiction!!! It’s called a crackberry for a reason. I can’t seem to put this thing down. I know I have the newness attraction (because it is so new to me and so damn cool), but I feel that I will not get tired of this device. Just like my Macintosh, I will love it for years and years and years and years (yea that’s a long time). This device (I don’t want to call it a phone because it’s so much more than a phone) will almost make dinner for you! E-mail, web, weather, traffic, maps, pictures, appointments, reminders, notes, games, mp3 player, it plays videos and syncs with my mac with ease (again thank you for the sync software) and of-course an excellent phone. It has bluetooth and wifi (something I’ve never experienced before). I actually wanted a iphone (I’m the biggest macadvocate you will ever find)! So the iphone was the obvious choice for me. When it comes to technology and I’m not sure of something I always go to the pro. My brother! He gave me all the points to consider and reminded me of just how much he loves his Blackberry. That was all it took, if it’s good enough for him, I know I’ll love it.

Now it seems everyone at work has the iphone (they are with AT&T) one person whom I’m friends with tells me that he loves it, but the battery life is not what it should be (says that Bluethooth kills his battery fast). As a matter of fact many people I’ve talked to in the past few days tells me that the battery in their phone runs out quickly when playing with music and videos, not the Blackberry! The battery in the Blackberry is simply amazing! I played a 17 minute song Thursday for atmosphere at lunch, it used one bar of battery life. Beat that iphone!
As icing on the cake a co-worker whom I becoming friends with (he was hired a few months ago) asked me Thursday if has Bluetooth, then he asked me if I had a head set. Telling him that I was going to wait to buy one he offered me one of his, he had three. Friday the man brought in the Bluethooth head set for me, I charged it and paired it with ease. Now I have true hands free. Much safer in the car while driving. On that note I MUST get a windshield mount for the Blackberry so it stays out of my hands while driving, I’m finding myself playing with it (mostly at red lights), but is still not healthy for me.

In the end, I think I made the right choice for myself.

This is one addition I’m happy with!
